As part of the state programme to ensure access to quality education in rural areas, Volyn region has received new school buses. The ceremonial handover of the vehicles took place today, 23.05.2025, with the participation of representatives of regional and local authorities.
The first to receive new buses were: The Vyshnivska, Zaturtsivska, Kivertsivska, Kovetska, Kolkivska, Lyubeshivska and Shatska hromadas. Thus, the first 7 buses out of 31 provided for in the signed agreement have already been delivered. The replenishment of the vehicle fleet will ensure safe and convenient transportation of students to educational institutions. This is especially important for children from remote villages who have to travel long distances to school every day.
In his speech, the representative of the Volyn Regional State Administration expressed his gratitude to the state for its assistance in modernising school infrastructure, emphasising that such investments are a contribution to the future!
School representatives thanked the company for their support and noted that the new transport would increase attendance and comfort for students:
‘Previously, children had to wait for private transport or walk several kilometres. Now we are confident that they will arrive at school on time and safely.’
The buses were donated as part of the National Education Development Strategy, which provides for the renewal of school infrastructure across Ukraine.
